Dear Reader,
To be refined is never easy.
It often crushes and stretches you into a shape you’ve never been as the purifying flame seems to dig under your skin and melt away the areas you weren’t even aware of.
Refinement brings repentance in the pain. The holy flame that touches every piece of fleshly desires highlights exactly what needs to die and be released. How can we not be brought to our knees as we see the extent of God’s Holiness and perfection? His power? He draws humility from where pride once rested and righteousness where depravity clawed through us.
It is by love that we are changed. It’s by love that we experience refinement. It often comes in challenge and hardship to purify our character and different areas in our life. In the flame, we cannot overlook His mercy—that the Lord would not leave us in our brokenness but instead draw us into a new life, a new path.
He is kind enough to reveal it and bring us through. The pain is momentary when the joy of what He heals in you from refinement is worth every ounce of what we lose.
In the crushing, oil that pleases the Lord is released. Fruit can finally bloom from budding branches and life begins anew.
Lose your old self and take up the life for which He is calling us to.
Refinement brings life, and we can run in fear from what it reveals or be brought through it by the Lord’s strength.
Refinement can also be a source of hope, wrought by hardship. It’s never easy or simple to submit to the Lord for such a process, but the fruit it bears in your life is transformative. It reminds us of Romans 5: “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”

We want to challenge you today to dig into your own life—are there areas you need to surrender for the Lord to refine you? What could be purified in your life today?

Local friends! We are preparing to pour into you with another NIGHT OF HOPE!
Doors open at 6pm, event starts at 6:30pm. Join us for a powerful night of worship and ministry! If you need a miracle, encouragement, deliverance, healing, or a special prayer request you do not want to miss this event.
There will be many opportunities for personal ministry. We want to see the Brainerd lakes area come ALIVE in Christ. And one of the best ways to do that is to SEEK the Lord, and minister to one another.
This event is FREE. There will NOT be any childcare available, however, your whole family is welcome to join us for the main event.
There will be a powerful time of worship, preaching, and then prayers for healing, deliverance and the infamous prayer lines!

We are here because we understand what it’s like to crave intimacy with God. We built this ministry out of a belief that we’re always growing and becoming more aware of Christ working in and through us. In 2011, Awakening Hope Ministries was born out of the overwhelming passion that God has put in us to use the gifts He has given us to impact the body of Christ and to be a witness to the world. Our mission is to preach the uncompromising Word of God, worship with abandon, pray, and minister to anyone willing to receive.
