Dear Reader,
Have we mentioned how much we LOVE when our friends send us questions? We firmly believe that asking questions and seeking the Lord are necessary ways that we grow.
One of our friends sent this: “Hi! I love what you’re doing for God 💕 any tips for staying consistent in your walk with Christ?”
Now, we can all agree that building your foundation with Christ, and deepening your relationship with Him is important—but we’ve noticed that there often is a lack of guidance or explanations on what that really looks like. It’s hard to grow when you aren’t taught how to grow.
While some growth in your walk is organic and a byproduct of having the Holy Spirit, there is also a level of personal responsibility and intentionality that comes along as well. To everything there is a balance—and the more you practice taking steps, the more fruit you will grow.
As we gain maturity in our faith, the steadier we should become. This isn’t a point of shame for you, Friend—hear this as a gentle nudge: If you find yourself on intense roller coaster rides of emotions and rapid burnout, now is the perfect time to begin to bring balance and diligence to your walk with Christ.
To start, we have 8 tips to help you begin to bear fruit and to create consistency in your walk:
- Choose a time of your day to devote solely to the Lord. This requires forethought and diligence—and by building this habit, it will help you create consistency. This can be time to pray, worship, read your Bible—more than anything, make a space where you can connect with your Heavenly Father.
- Lose all ideas of perfection and walk in grace. We continually are becoming more like Christ, but we still fail sometimes. To be human is messy. There is so much we simply don’t understand because we aren’t God. Don’t allow failure to turn you away from God. Instead, use those moments to teach you more about God and allow it to propel you into His arms.
- Take an honest look at your life and remove what isn’t of the Lord: Is there anything drawing you away from Jesus or diminishing your hunger for Him? Do you use discipline and self control to make time for Him? Who is Jesus in your life right now (ex: an acquaintance or distant memory) and who do you want Him to be? (ex: Close friend, first love, etc.)
- Surround yourself with solid friends who love Jesus. Community isn’t just a want in your walk, it’s a NEED. We need to be connected to the body of Christ. We need intimacy and friendship.
- Don’t just read your Bible. Study it. Dive into it. Learn to read it as the supernatural, living Word of God that it is. Commentaries, teaching platforms like Logos are essential for getting more out of the Bible. Here’s the best part—the Word of God paints a beautiful mosaic of who He is and how to live a life honoring Him. It’s hard to be distracted by lies when you are filled with truth.
- Find a person of the same gender as you who is older, wiser and steady in their faith to disciple you. We ALL need accountability.
- Allow God to heal and refine you. He loves you SO MUCH. So much so that He refuses to leave you “as is.”

Ask hard questions. Don’t fear the wrestling. It’s a part of the walk. Working through fear and doubt does not mean you aren’t a believer. You’re human. There is much we don’t understand.
“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.”

Doors open at 6pm, event starts at 6:30pm. Join us for a powerful night of worship and ministry! If you need a miracle, encouragement, deliverance, healing, or a special prayer request you do not want to miss this event.
There will be many opportunities for personal ministry. We want to see the Brainerd lakes area come ALIVE in Christ. And one of the best ways to do that is to SEEK the Lord, and minister to one another.
This event is FREE. There will NOT be any childcare available, however, your whole family is welcome to join us for the main event.
There will be a powerful time of worship, preaching, and then prayers for healing, deliverance and the infamous prayer lines!
